Knockdown texture repair tool can match heavy, medium and light knockdown/splatter texture.

I have perfected the art of matching any knockdown texture with my knockdown texture sponge!

The knockdown texture sponge is Great for wall repairs and patches too!

I recommend not using a compressor and texture hopper for these types of drywall small repairs.Texture hoppers and cans of spray texture simply is to hard to dial and get the right size splatters when trying to match knockdown texture.

Texture hoppers also put out too much texture on not only the repair but the surrounding area. Resulting in too much knockdown texture build up. Never really making the patch invisible. The texture is better if it's concentrated to a smaller area around the repair area.

That's why this knockdown texture sponge and technique is great not only for Do it Yourselfers but Contractors too!

Along with the knockdown texture sponge this texturing project will require a couple more hand tools to do be able to blend the knockdown texture.

1) Knockdown Texture Sponge

2) All purpose joint compound

3) Drywall Mud pan

4) 6 and 12 Taping knife depending the size area you're going to be texturing and knocking down (I prefer a lexan knockdown paddle. But a metal drywall taping knife will too).

I've been a drywall contractor and painting contractor for over 20 years. Over the years I've been working on creating texture matching products and techniques to help me repair these areas and make a repaired textured finish look almost perfect.
