Description

The Coast Guard Rescue Boat depicted in this kit is almost unsinkable. If turned over, it will always right itself quickly, as long as it can keep clear of the bottom. This is possible because of a one ton keel made of a solid bar of bronze. It is also self bailing so that it cannot become swamped unless demolished. Under the deck there are five bulkheads with watertight doors, dividing it into six separate sealed compartments, insuring safety even when the hull is damaged.
