IMPORTANCE OF THROTTLE BODY: The throttle is an electronically controlled flap, a "valve" that controls the amount of intake air. The flap is flipped by the angle of the accelerator pedal. The larger the angle of reversal, the larger the intake air volume, and then detected by the air flow sensor. The amount of intake air, then the ECU controls the fuel injection amount according to the detected intake air quantity, maintains the correct air-fuel ratio, and controls the combustion condition.
