AIR JORDAN 12nThe start of a new brand. The Air Jordan 12 released in the 1996-97 season and was designed by Tinker Hatfield. The AJ 12 was the first sneaker in the new Jordan Brand line. The upper of the silhouette was inspired by the Japenese Rising Sun flag and a Nike Swoosh was nowhere to be seen anywhere on the sneaker. This was the last Air Jordan to be released in a Nike box. While wearing the Air Jordan 12, MJ had the infamous ?Flu Game? and won his fifth NBA championship and fifth Finals MVP. The Air Jordan 12 was first retroed in 2003.
