Eco-Etch Pro Concrete Etcher & Concrete Cleaner: Eco-Etch Concrete Etcher and Concrete Cleaner is used to safely replace muriatic acid cleaners. It will also deep clean concrete, brick pavers, and block wall surfaces for best practices when applying stains, coatings, paints, and sealers. The deep cleaning concrete cleaner is also the ideal efflorescence remover since it dissolves surface calcium deposits as it reacts. Eco-Etch Pro reacts with the calcium and lime on contact without harmful fumes and will not burn skin. It dissolves the top surface layers of the concrete to open the pores that enable optimum penetration and bonding of coatings. Proper surface preparation adds significant longevity and durability of your decorative finish. Eco-Etch is the preferred concrete acid etching alternative because deep cleans and etches simultaneously. Unlike muriatic or phosphoric acid cleaners, it will not corrode mild metals, release harmful fumes, or cause dangerous skin burns. Our proprietary formulation uses a mixture of non toxic cleaning surfactants and organic salts made from renewable resources, yet has an acidic pH that is less than 2. It only reacts when in contact with calcium and lime inherent in cement mixtures. Once in contact with the concrete, it will begin to react by visual foaming action. The solution is typically left to dwell for approximately 10 to 15 minutes, followed by aggressive brushing, then is neutralized with water. Eco-Etch is 100% biodegradable and will not harm vegetation when properly neutralized with water.
